Jedwards Tech Limited

Privacy notice

This notice explains how I, Jeremy Edwards, handle personal information you provide when you contact Jedwards Tech. It is written for people in the United Kingdom and reflects the current, founder-led nature of the business.

Your enquiry is not a marketing subscription.

Who is responsible?

Jedwards Tech Limited is the controller for personal information handled through this website. Jeremy Edwards is its founder and principal consultant.

What is collected and why

The contact form collects your name, selected topic, message and either an email address, a telephone number or both. It also processes technical information needed to check for automated spam, including a Cloudflare Turnstile token and the requesting internet address.

I use this information only to understand, assess and respond to your enquiry. I will not sell or rent it, share it for another organisation’s marketing, or add you to a mailing list merely because you contacted me.

Lawful basis and retention

The intended lawful basis is legitimate interests: responding to a business or professional request directed to Jedwards Tech. Enquiry details are retained only for up to 24 hours to support reliable delivery and retry handling. Data is encrypted while stored.

The delivered email is kept in the Jedwards Tech mailbox only for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any resulting professional relationship, then deleted in line with normal business-record requirements. You may ask for earlier deletion where applicable.

Booking data and Google Calendar

Appointments are booked through a Google Calendar appointment schedule configured and used by Jedwards Tech. Through the booking and notification email, Jedwards Tech receives the attendee's name, email address, company name and selected appointment date and time. The information is used to understand the business context and to arrange, administer and follow up the requested exploratory call.

Google provides and processes the appointment-booking service under its own Google Privacy Policy. Jedwards Tech configures and uses the schedule, so Google does not alone determine all fields and notices shown to attendees. Jedwards Tech does not use booking data for unrelated marketing merely because someone booked a call. The proposed lawful basis is legitimate interests in responding to and administering a business or professional enquiry.

If no engagement results, Jedwards Tech will delete the Google Calendar booking and its associated notification or correspondence within 12 months of the appointment or the last substantive contact, whichever is later. Booking records will be reviewed for deletion at least quarterly. If the enquiry leads to an engagement, Jedwards Tech will retain only correspondence required for contractual, delivery, accounting, tax or legal purposes for up to six years after the engagement ends, or longer where a legal obligation, dispute or regulatory enquiry requires it. Google may process or retain booking information separately under its applicable terms and privacy policy. Deleting the copies held directly by Jedwards Tech does not control Google's separate processing or retention.

The appointment schedule currently uses a Google Account administered by Jeremy Edwards for Jedwards Tech. For users in the United Kingdom, Google identifies Google LLC as the controller for its own processing. Google states that information may be processed on servers outside the UK and that it uses recognised transfer mechanisms, including adequacy arrangements, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses where required. See Google's data-transfer frameworks.

The booking link does not submit information through the Jedwards Tech contact form. For a direct enquiry, use the contact form; its processing is described below.

Service providers

Jedwards Tech uses trusted service providers, including Microsoft, Google and Cloudflare, to run the contact and booking services and protect the contact service from spam.

Microsoft and Cloudflare process contact-service information to deliver and secure that service under their applicable terms. Google processes appointment-booking information under the Google Privacy Policy described above. Jedwards Tech does not disclose enquiry or booking information to these providers for unrelated marketing.

Future news and product updates

Jedwards Tech does not currently offer a newsletter or use enquiry contact details for marketing. If I later offer news about Jedwards Tech or its products, I will ask separately for clear, specific and unticked email consent. You will be able to withdraw that consent easily, and each message will include an unsubscribe route. Saying hello through the contact form will not count as consent to marketing.

Your rights

Subject to the UK GDPR, you may have rights to ask for access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of or objection to the use of your personal information. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Please use the contact form to make a request.

For independent guidance, visit the ICO’s information for the public.
